Straight & Nappy Poster

I am nearly finished with my Straight & Nappy Poster design. This is a .jpg that I didn't clean up very well but you get the idea. The opening is getting closer and my excitement level is heightening. Rebecca and I find ourselves with more material than performance minutes right now. That is a great place to be. It means that our show is written. We have to decide what to cut now. We still have commit lines to memory for the pre-scripted scenes. We wrote it...How hard could the memorizing be? Famous last words, right?

Producing is new to me but when things go well, it feels pretty good. You are making something. Creating. Cooking up your own deal. Bringing forth something new. The feeling is heightened since I am on the creative side of this project too.

Tonight I considered the idea that we may have something that could combine two great loves of mine. Performing and traveling. The last time I did it I was performing other people's material (and some of my own) and working for other people. This time I was part of the whole process. And now I am a partner instead of an employee.
